On September 27th 2008, Green 4 All, 1 Sky, Al Gore's WE campaign and many other organizations and supporters against Global Warming are launching A National Day of Action. We are calling it, Green Jobs Now: A Day to Build the New Economy!
In Washington DC, the Chesapeake Climate Action Network and the Greater Washington Power and Light organizations will host a unique event. The MLK, Jr. Avenue Service Project, Green-Collar Jobs, Health and Community Fair will educate, encourage and empower DC low-income residents, ex-offenders and the faith-based communities in Ward 8. The vision for this event is to increase participation in and awareness of the green-collar movement. A movement that will pull people out of poverty and improve the planet we all live on. We need your support!
