White Center Energy Festival & Prosperity Project

Event Description:

Are you ready to Weatherize and Solarize America? To create Green Jobs that pay a family wages? To remove barriers that prevent historically disadvantaged communities from achieving prosperity?

If so, we invite you to invest 4-hours of your time and turn WORDS into ACTION! Volunteers are needed from 8am to 12pm AND 11am to 3pm.

The Moontown Foundation and its partners need 200+ volunteers to blanket the White Center Community to knock on over 7000 doors and educate residents on home energy efficiency, resource conservation…and how to SAVE SOME MONEY on their utility bills.

AS A VOLUNTEER YOU WILL…


  • Give out FREE Ecobags, with compact florescent light bulbs and tips on saving energy
  • Give away a FREE home energy efficiency audit (valued at $500)
  • Spread the word on GREEN JOBS
  • Learn how to get training to install solar panels or become an energy efficiency auditor
  • Meet representatives from colleges and trade schools that provide GREEN JOB training
  • Explore an Eco Village, complete with a demonstration solar roof & Green living experts
  • Get a limited edition GOT GREEN t-shirt, fed, informed & inspired
  • Register people to VOTE
  • Jam to the sounds of DJ KUN LUV and GlobalHeat after your hard work
  • Earn service learning credits
  • Help build the new GREEN ECONOMY
