Event Description:
The League of Young/Pissed Off Voters, Global Exchange, Grind for the Green, Energy Action Coalition and 350 join forces to say: No more hype, We want real Green Jobs now. It will be a multi day event, with a kick off of solar powered hip hop event on 9/7 at Yerba Buena Gardens with Grind for the Green, green careers table on 9/26 at Glide Memorial United Methodist Church, and Green It Up After Party at Balazo Gallery on 9/27.

Directions to Yerba Buena - From the South on 280: Go north on 280 toward downtown San Francisco. Exit left to 4th Street. Continue through light to 3rd Street and turn left. Novellus Theater at YBCA is at 3rd and Howard; Galleries, Forum and Screening Room are one block further at 3rd and Mission Street. From the South on 101: Go north towards the Bay Bridge; exit at 7th Street, veer left onto Bryant. Turn left onto 3rd Street. Novellus Theater at YBCA is at 3rd and Howard; Galleries, Forum and Screening Room are one block further at 3rd and Mission. From the East: Cross the Bay Bridge; exit to the left at 5th Street. Veer right onto 5th Street going north. Turn right on Folsom; turn left on 3rd. Novellus Theater at YBCA is at 3rd and Howard; Galleries, Forum and Screening Room are one block further at 3rd and Mission. From the North: Cross the Golden Gate Bridge. Exit at Lombard Street. Turn right onto Van Ness Avenue; Turn left onto Grove Street. Veer right as you cross Market Street onto 8th Street. Turn left onto Folsom Street. Turn left onto 3rd Street. Several reasonably priced parking garages are located within a block of YBCA. See the map above. GETTING TO GLIDE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION - If you are riding BART or MUNI, exit at the Powell Street Station (located at Market and Powell Streets). Walk north one block on Powell Street, turning left on Ellis Street. Glide is three blocks further on the right. The #27 MUNI bus stops in front of Glide on Ellis Street. GETTING TO GLIDE BY CAR From the South Bay Exit Highway 101 at 7th Street. Go straight on Bryant, turning left on 6th Street. At Market Street, 6th Street becomes Taylor Street. Follow Taylor three blocks further; Glide is on your left. From the Marin County Cross the Golden Gate Bridge, exiting on Lombard Street. Turn right on Van Ness Avenue, left on O'Farrell Street, right on Mason, and right again on Ellis Street. Glide is one block up. From the East Bay Take the Bay Bridge, exiting on 5th Street.
