Hydrogeologic Journey through SE WI

Event Description:

Join a group exploring the green possibilities associated with keeping our water clean in SE Wisconsin. Buses will leave the Watertown Plank Road Park and Ride lot (located at Watertown Plank and US 45, just west of freeway) at 8 am sharp!!! Cost for trip is $75 each (Seniors 65+ are $65, Students with ID are $55). Participants can look forward to:
• Jones Island Wastewater Treatment Plant - tour and presentation,
• Great Lakes Water Institute - Great Lakes’ largest academic
freshwater research facility
• Beautiful Bradford Beach - shoreline restoration project
• Estabrook Park - youngest visible Devonian bedrock in Wisconsin
• Catered lunch at Riverside Park in West Bend - former location of the
Woolen Mills Dam
• Glacial Blue Hills Recreation Area - spectacular kame!
• Cedarburg Bog UWM field station - a beautiful fen and a true
Wisconsin gem
• Klode Park - dramatic slump failure of the bluff
Also, the Fall colors should make the whole trip beautiful!!!!
