Concord Rally for Green Jobs Now
Concord, NH
September 27, 2008 11:00AM to 02:00PM
Hosted by Rob Kerth
This Saturday we will be coming together in the (indoor and dry) Fellowship Hall of the Concord Unitarian Universalist Church to hear speeches, participate in an art project (for the young'uns in the crowd), and take a photo petition demonstrating that we care about the issue of green jobs. Thanks to the UU Church for rescuing us from this Saturday's expected ugly weather--we can now do all of this without getting drenched to the bone!
Speakers will include:
*David Lamarre-Vincent, New Hampshire Council of Churches
*John Mendolusky, New Hampshire Alliance of Retired Americans
*Cathy Corkery, New Hampshire Sierra Club
Also present will be:
*Green Concord
*Northeast Organic Farming Association--New Hampshire Chapter
After the speakers and photo-petition, volunteers will participate in a service project helping low and fixed income families to save energy in their homes. Those interested in participating should contact the event organizer to express their interest.
