Latinos Go Green (or "Latinos Por La Tierra") is a project of Democracia U.S.A. to focus on environmental voter education and community organizing focusing on Hispanics through days of action on September 27, 2008 in Las Vegas, Miami, and Philadelphia. Together with the national movement Green Jobs Now, the project helped Latinos learn about the potential of green jobs and the green economy as well as have an understand environmental concerns relevant to Latinos and their quality of life.

The event in Miami was a success. Democracia U.S.A. garnered support from the community in Miami by getting 1,105 signed petitions in support of the Green Jobs Now and the Clean Energy Corps in the U.S. Democracia U.S.A. also educated Hispanics with Latinos Go Green literature with local recycling information, Environmental Protection Agency information and suggestions, and general environmental health tips. We also gave away energy efficient light bulbs and other green give-aways.
