We had about 50 people show up today to claim they are ready for "Green Jobs Now". We witnessed the committment by the owner of Safeland Security Warehouse facility to the largest Solar PV and Solar Hot Water System to be installed west of the Cascades in the State of Washington. Owner Sam Sidhu committed to 180 kW of PV solar electric to be installed on the roofs of his new constructed storage/warehouse facility in Puyallup, Washington. Prior to this event the largest installed system in Washington, 30 kW was installed by the Bonneville Power Administration at the Hanford Nuclear Power Facility in Eastern Washington.

Also witnessed at this event was the committment by Llyod Smithengill. of JAS Development to open a trade technical training facility to train those looking for careers in the new "Green Collar" technologies. Llyod made a committment to provide $700,000 to get a school started to train workers for the installation and manufacturing of alternative energy, starting with a training center and business incubator facility located at the Safeland Office and Warehouse Storage Facility in Puyallup, Washington.

Lloyd also made an additional committment to attend the Washington Solar Summit being held this next week in Oceanshores, Washington. Where a sold-out gathering of state electric utility representatives and solar industry companies will be meeting for the 5th Annual gathering to discuss how the solar industry and electric utilities can work together to advance solar in the state of Washington.

Lloyd commented that the German's and Chineese maybe leading the race to install solar but the United States hasn't even come to the games yet, but once we do, we will committ like no other country in the world. And if we can make solar work in the Pacific Northwest where the sun don't shine then there will be no excuse for the rest of the nation not to follow.
